Session fees
The fee guide shows the cost for each appointment type and format, so you can clearly see what applies before you book. Your first full appointment gives you time to explore what has brought you to therapy, discuss what you need, and see whether working with Amber feels right.
A free 10-minute Q&A is available if you have a brief practical question about availability, session format or accessibility. This is not a therapy session, but it can help you decide on your next step.

Frequently asked questions
Adults can book an initial online or telephone consultation, or a free Q&A, through the secure booking portal. For a face-to-face consultation or a session for a child or teenager aged 8–17, please email Amber.
After you book, Amber will send a welcome email with the forms you need to complete, including GDPR information and a counselling agreement, as well as the payment link for your first appointment. Please complete and return all forms at least 48 hours before your session. Your appointment is secured once payment has been received. For anyone under 18, Amber will also ask for a consent form and a basic information form.
The Q&A is a free call of up to 10 minutes for a brief practical question, such as availability, session format or accessibility, or to help you decide whether to book a paid first appointment. It is not a therapy session or a full assessment.
Amber works with children and teenagers aged 8–17 and adults aged 18 and over. Face-to-face and online sessions are available for both age groups. Telephone therapy is available for adults.
Face-to-face sessions take place by appointment in a calm, private therapy room at 1 Church Street, Epsom, KT17 4PF. The room is around a five-minute walk from Epsom station, with nearby bus stops and public car parks.
Sessions last 50 minutes. If you choose to continue after your first appointment, you and Amber will agree a regular weekly time. Therapy can be short-term, long-term or open-ended, with no fixed number of sessions. You and Amber will review together what is helping, what you need and whether to continue.
Yes. Sessions offer a confidential, non-judgemental space, and Amber will not share what you discuss without your consent. The exception is when she is concerned that you or someone else may be at risk of harm, or there is another safeguarding concern. Wherever possible, Amber will discuss the need to share relevant information with you first.
Online sessions take place through Microsoft Teams and you can keep your camera off if that feels easier. Telephone therapy is available for adults through a scheduled phone call. For either format, you will need a private room where you will not be overheard or interrupted; sessions cannot take place in shared or public spaces. Once your forms and payment are complete, Amber will email your Teams link or telephone details and send helpful reminders.
Sessions are a private space for children and teenagers aged 8–17. Parents and guardians do not usually join sessions or receive details of what is discussed, and any general updates depend on what the child or teenager is comfortable sharing. Amber may contact a parent or guardian about practical arrangements or a safeguarding concern. If she believes they or someone else may be at risk of harm, she may need to share relevant information with a parent, guardian or another appropriate service. Wherever possible, she will explain this to the child or teenager first.
Please give at least 7 days’ notice to cancel or reschedule. With less notice, the full fee may apply. If you are running late, let Amber know as soon as possible. Your session will still end at its scheduled time and may still be charged. If Amber is running late, she will let you know as soon as possible.
You do not need to be certain before you start. Your paid first appointment lasts 50 minutes and gives you time to explore what has brought you to therapy, discuss what you need, ask questions and get a sense of how Amber works. It is also an opportunity for you both to consider whether working together feels right.
